Mmmm…municipal water. Delicious and nutritious. Koehler Fluid faucet concept aims to make drinking from the tap a little easier with a design that can can be adjusted upward to form a drinking fountain.

Koehler (not to be confused with the American company) also included an elegant control system that increases temperature by twisting the knob on the side and increases water pressure by adjusting the position of the tap. Again, this is only a concept at the moment.

Four Seasons:toilets and sinks

There were numerous exciting new products at TOTO USA’s booth, but nothing made me gasp quite like the Waza Collection’s Miyabe series of toilets and sinks. Handpainted with beautiful floral motifs, each is a work of art for the modern bathroom. In addition to its artistic quality, the line is also mindful of the environment. The high-efficiency toilet consumes only 1.28 gallons per flush, while the sink faucets (which are etched with complementary floral designs) expend only 1.5 gallons per minute.

The line is made up of four designs, each representing a season. Winter features a pine and plum tree design (shown); Spring, a plum tree motif with branches painted in sterling silver paint; Summer has a plum and bamboo design, which is created using 24K gold paint; and Fall features a maple leaf motif in greens and deep reds.

Brizo’s Virage:Let’s Twist Again

Brizo’s Virage is worth a gawk just because it’s visually stunning. According to the collection’s designer, the bath faucets’ sensuously twisting design was inspired by wrought-iron work seen on a trip to Germany. The line takes its name from the French word for “twist” and went through a brief “Goth” phase before arriving at its current incarnation, which is dramatic, elegant and versatile. Although the faucets were shown in chrome, other finishes are available.

汉斯格雅荣获IF奖的产品草图

PuraVida是Hansgrohe的水龙头新产品，表面处理很特别，两种材质，一种是镀铬，一种是乳白色类似喷漆效果。PuraVi荣获了2009年的IF大奖，它是由大名鼎鼎的凤凰工作室设计的。大师的草图看起来效果并不是那么有观赏性，但可以清晰地看出造型的变化过程，从而了解大师的设计思路。

冷水龙头——来自Hansa

这种龙头初看起来原理和那种最普通的几块钱的水龙头一样，不过是造型更简洁现代了，也有更多的材质和色彩的选择。但其实是有很大不同的，最特别之处在于水波器被整合到了控制开关里，这使我想到了Hansgrohe的一款落地式浴缸龙头，其分水器也是整合到龙头前端，要使用分水器只用旋转前端就可以了。Hansa的这款龙头可以设计得更简洁，像Hansgrohe的那样，索性不要柱形凸起物。

镂空水嘴的水龙头设计

前几天还在和老大探讨设计镂空水嘴的龙头的可行性，没想到就看到了Gessi的水龙头新设计。这个设计与2006年的至尊红点概念奖有一定的相似之处，不过更具可行性。镂空带来了新的空间感，镂空的手柄和水嘴风格也比较匹配，这种设计别有一番风味。
